Chocolate Vanilla Milkshake Recipe – Turn Simple into Exotic!!!

Simply delicious! Milkshakes are an all-time favourite with my kids. This one is a quick and simple milkshake recipe, all you need is ice-cold milk, vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. My kids love having strawberry milkshake and Ferrero Rocher milkshake also.

I make milkshakes mostly along with their evening after school snacks. That time when they are back from school they need something cold and at the same time more satisfying. So the milkshakes go very well for both of them. It is refreshing and you can do loads of variations while preparing a thick milkshake.

Kids love variations in their meals and they tend to get bored with the routine food that mom’s usually serve, so I try as much possible to give them variety in their meals and at the same time keeping in mind the nutritional content in the daily intake to simply keep them healthy and at the same time keep them concious on what they need to eat. Though I am not a very fussy mum :) . Since the kids need a total nutritional balance in their diets we cannot afford to miss the sugar intake also, so sometimes these rich ice cream based shakes are welcoming for them. It’s just that as Mum’s we need to take care by maintaining a balance in what we give our kids :) !

Chocolate Vanilla Milk Shake

My kids are really naughty & they hate to share their milkshakes with anyone…..not even with me :) ! However much I beg them for just one sip ( I love having a sip from their glass only ) and all I get from them is a big NO….lol!

So here is the recipe for this simple yet exotic chocolate vanilla milkshake.

Ingredients

  • Cold milk – 1 cup
  • Vanilla ice cream – 4 - 5 big scoops
  • Chocolate syrup - 3 tbsp. (I used Hershey’s syrup)
  • Cocoa powder – 1 tbsp.
  • For toppings – chocolate vermicelli’s and chocolate syrup and ½ scoop vanilla ice cream
  • Glasses of your choice to serve preferably tall glasses or goblets

Method -

  1. Take a mixer, add in the ice cream, little milk, chocolate syrup in a blender.
  2. Blend on a high-speed until ingredients are well-combined, now add in rest of the milk and blend again.
  3. Add in little more ice cream if your prefer your shake to be more thick and same goes for the chocolate syrup, I preferred 3 tbsp. for 2 glasses, however you can adjust according to your choice.
  4. Pour into glasses and top it with choco chips, chocolate vermicelli’s, syrup and a scoop of ice cream.
  5. A perfect treat for the kids :) !

We love milkshakes. Do you love them as much as we do???
