Anjeer Milk Shake

Figs ( Anjeer ) are a good source of potassium, a mineral that helps to control blood pressure.Figs grow on the Ficus tree (Ficus carica), which is a member of the Mulberry family. I really love eating figs in any form be it sweets , as a dried fruit , in shakes or even fig ice creams and it is my all time favorite.

Ingredients -

  • 4 glass whole milk
  • 4 - 8 figs (anjeer)
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 1 - 2 scoops of vanilla / almond ice cream ( optional )
  • 2 tsp broken almonds
  • 6-7 ice cubes

Method-

Soak Anjeer (figs) in a cup of milk overnight or a minimum of 3 -4 hours. Blend it in blender by adding milk, sugar and ice cubes.Keep aside 2 -3 figs for garnishing. When mixed well add almonds and 2 scoops of ice cream to give a more thicker taste, again blend it until it is quite frothy. Pour it in the glasses, garnish with remaining anjeer ( figs ) and serve it chilled.

Enjoy this royal drink…. it’s just out of the world for all the fig lovers!!
