Fruit Custard
Yummy Fruit Custard -
Ingredients -
- Vanilla flavoured Custard powder - 3 tablespoon
- Milk -500 ml/ 2 1/2 cups
- Sugar -50 grams or as required
- Mixed fruits- anything of your choice ( I used banana , apple, pineapple, kiwi,
pomegranate as these were readily available at home while I thought of
preparing this recipe, you can also use papaya, musk melon, chikoo , pear ,seedless
grapes, strawberry)
Mix 3 tablespoon of Vanilla custard powder with 3 tablespoon of warm milk and make a smooth
paste without any lumps. Keep stirring till you see no lumps. Your custard paste is ready. Boil 500 ml of milk, add sugar to it. Now add the custard paste to the milk slowly and cook stirring continuously until it becomes thick. Take it out from the burner and keep aside, after it comes to room temperature, refrigerate it. Please note that it will become thicker when cooled. Cut fruits of your choice, you can use any seasonal fruits or mixed fruits to your custard. I always prefer fresh fruits to tinned fruits (if you cannot get fresh fruits you still can use tinned fruits of your choice). Mix fruits to custard only before serving, when about to serve arrange the fruits in a bowl or cup and pour cold custard on top of it, you can also use muffins and pour your fruit custard on top of it and eat. Chill it and enjoy this yummy all time favorite and easy to cook delight.
