Cutlets are always yummy snack options, specially on rainy days when you crave for having something┬áfried and spicy. I prepared these cutlets yesterday for my kids (not too spicy for them)┬áwhen they came back from school. They are having their┬áexams these days and they expect that a lot of attention is given to both of them during exams and of course┬áotherwise too…. and being a mom, I really get emotionally charged when my kids demand something from me. My daughter wanted to have some good snacks when they come back from school and I chose to make these paneer┬ácutlets, trust me they both loved eating these….you can add more of veggies too as their┬áis┬áno hard and fast rule for preparing the cutlets┬ábut I wanted them to have more of paneer┬áso intentionally prepared these.
Ingredients -
- Potatoes boiled - 2
- Paneer grated - 1/2 cup
- Onions chopped - 1
- Green Peas boiled - 1/2 cup
- Green chillies chopped - 1
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Maida - 3 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Garam Masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped coriander leaves - a handful
- Oil to deep fry
- Breadcrumbs - 2 tablespoon
Mixture for the cutlets -
Cutlet flattened balls ready for deep-frying
After coating them with thick maida paste and breadcrumbs….fry them for crispy yummy┬áballs…read below the method for preparing the cutlets.
Method -
Mash and mix all the ingredients together and make small rolls or balls. Now add little water to the maida and make a thick paste. Spread breadcrumbs on a plate.Dip each flattened ball in maida paste and roll it in bread crumbs. Heat oil for deep-frying, when the oil is hot, slowly add 2 -3 cutlets in one batch. Deep fry  the flattened balls till they become golden brown on medium flame. Remove them on an oil absorbent paper.
Serve with chutney and tomato ketchup.
Enjoy!!
