Boondi┬áRaita is one of the easy to make yogurt recipes. Most of us know how to prepare this as it┬árequires no rocket science but still since this blog is a journal about my day-to-day cooking, I have to post this as well for all those who don’t know how to make┬áit.
Boondi is available on all Indian grocery stores. It taste best when served chilled. Your boondi should be soaked in warm water only then the raita should be prepared in order to get the best of the tastes.

Ingredients -
- Curd /Yogurt ÔÇô 2.5 cups
- Boondi- 3 tablespoon (I always use Haldiram Boondi pack)
- Sugar ÔÇô ┬¢ teaspoon
- Dry mint powder ÔÇô ┬¢ teaspoon
- Coriander leaves ÔÇô ┬¢ teaspoon
- Roasted jeera powder ÔÇô ┬¢ teaspoon
- Garam masala powder ÔÇô as per taste
- Red chilli powder ÔÇôas per taste

Method -
Beat curd / yogurt and sugar well without any water into the mixture, add boondi ( you need to soak the boondi in warm water for 5 minutes before you start preparing the raita, squeeze out the excess water gently and then use it for the raita), mint powder and coriander leaves and mix it well with the curd.
Now add the jeera powder, garam masala, red chilli powder and salt, mix well. Check if you require more salt or chilli before you serve. This raita goes well with pulao or as a side dish. Keep it in the refrigerator for an hour or so and then serve chilled.
Enjoy this quick yogurt delight along with your meal!!
