Ingredients -
- Kuttu atta – 1 1/2 cup
- Potatoes – 1 large diced
- Curd – 1 1/2 cups
- Green Chillies – 2
- Cummin Seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
- Rock Salt to taste
- Desi ghee or oil to fry
- Curry leaves – 8
- Mustard seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
- Water – 2 cups
Method -
For the pakoras /Dumplings -
Take a bowl, mix potatoes with 1 cup kuttu atta ( or little less if you feel ), add salt, 2 tablespoon water to prepare thick batter and mix well. Now heat sufficient oil in the kadai, when the oil is hot, take a big spoon and pour the batter into the kadai to prepare the pakoras, deep fry them till golden brown. Keep aside the pakoras when done.
Now we prepare the kadi gravy for the pakoras, take a bowl and mix curd with 1/2 cup kuttu ka katta ( you can adjust the consistency of the kadi by adding little more atta to it as well depending how you wish to have, too thick or more liquid form), 2 cups of water and mix it too well. Take a deep bottom pan, heat oil in it and add cummin seeds, mustard seeds and let it splutter, add green chillies chopped to it along with the curry leaves, stir well for one minute and add the curd mixture to it. Bring it to a boil stirring continuously. Reduce the flame and let it simmer for 10 -12 minutes on low flame. After this add the potato pakoras to it and let it simmer for another 8 – 10 minutes on low flames. Add salt to taste and serve hot.
Enjoy!!!
