All these recipes reminded me of my parents home :-)
Now I don’t fast for many years, but keep making them for the sake of taste :-)

I am glad my post took you back to your parents home, I have learned all these recipes from both my mom & mom in law. I do fast during Navaratri, but I try and have a feast while I am fasting…:)!

A great blog with lovely pictoral and detailed easy to follow recipes I think the section about Navratri Fast food recipes wis really wonderful , hats off ! If a section O
of low calories items without frying etc can be included one could derive the double benefit of fasting with remembrance to Ma Durga and also trim ones waistline in the process as in any case one is letting go of much of the non prescribed food during these days . A small list of the allowed foodstuff should be there along with the taboo items and a line why some others are not allowed as I wonder why green vegetables are not allowed in Navratri but Pauli, kaddhu , Khera , tamato , alloo are thanks alka
