About
Hello and welcome to M-A-D cooking fusions!
MAD – making a difference is a word I chose to describe my Indian cooking site. Cooking always meant to me to be maddening, however I am foodie myself. After having worked for good 14 years in the corporate world, I took a break and decided to stay at home and become a good mum (ask my kid’s and they will tell you), do things I missed all my life due to my hectic demanding job and commitments. A break in career of course by choice made me get into full-time cooking, learn various cuisines and do various things. Not to miss that I have found a new-born foodie in me… Earlier cooking made me feel mad, now I feel mad about cooking and enjoy it!!!
M-A-D cooking fusion – A simple thought to make a journal on my day-to-day cooking that would be helpful for my loved ones made me start this space. The recipes that you would see are the ones that I have loved cooking for my family and friends. This site is my way to spread the love for Indian cooking to all those who wrongly think it’s too difficult.
Ok the first thing you should know is that MAD COOKING FUSIONS is a blog, created and maintained by me, Anamika. All the recipes, content and the photographs in my blog are purely mine… Cooked, clicked (by my DSLR) and written by myself. I grew up being exposed to good food and great cooking by my mom but I’d never cooked anything until I started staying home after my break from the madness of corporate world which is quite late a start in my life (better late than never) but now it’s one of my passions to learn more and more good and healthy cooking. I feel really good, as this is one of the ways to show my love for my kids… I mainly cook for my kids (my sweet daughter who is 12 years and my mischievous son who is 9 years now) and trust me they love it. Honestly all my experiments are on them and because of them I got more involved into cooking and worked on crazy ideas to make them eat things they would hate to eat otherwise.
I am neither a professional cook nor have I attained any kind of training in cooking, all that you will see is purely because of the growing desire in cooking which initially started to kill my boredom after a break from the corporate life but now it is my passion.
Thank you so much for visiting MAD cooking fusions! It’s all about being MAD – MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Hi Swapna, welcome to mad, I am glad you liked my space and especially the name, it’s all about being MAD – making a difference in lives of your loved ones
!
Hi, Anamika!
Your blog is amazing! I’m Filipino, married to a loving Indian husband for almost 9yrs now. Indian food is one of the best cuisines in the world, but also very intimidating for someone like me who has not seen a myriad of spices at all:-) Likewise, there are hundreds of blogs out there about Indian cooking, but I haven’t seen anything quite like yours that is clear-cut and educational. Your blog is absolutely a breath of fresh air.
Looks like I’m hooked for good:-)
Wow thank you so much Belen Inal Banerjee, you really made my day
!
Glad to know more about you Anamika..
I can so relate to getting passionate about cooking in the post baby break…
